Mobile Advertising

Mobile advertising is an important element of all mobile initiatives.  There are two aspects to mobile advertising: in-app and out-of-app.

In-app advertising is about monetizing off your mobile initiatives using mobile ads. Mobile ads can be integrated into all mobile activities such as mobile applications, mobile websites, SMS campaigns and more.  Mobile ads can be in many forms and typically following standards put forth by the MMS (Mobile Marketing Association).  Some forms of banners include:

  • text / word ads
  • graphical banners
  • inline banners
  • full-screen takeovers
  • apps within apps

Out-of-app advertising refers to leveraging third-party mobile ad networks and properties to promote your mobile initiatives. This can provide a great means to drive downloads and usage to your mobile initiatives.
