Develop a brand new iPhone and Android app, complete with an integrated Optimum mobile loyalty card, weekly native eflyers, personalized offers based on purchasing behaviours with load-to-card functionality to save & use - all while using the app in-store to scan, earn and redeem points.

OVERVIEW

After three years in-market, Shoppers Drug Mart - the world’s third largest pharmacy drug store - struggled with an underwhelming 1 star app fraught with a series of technical issues. As a brand cherished across the country with over a third of the population enrolled in their loyalty program, Shoppers Drug Mart knew they couldn’t afford an app that wasn’t on par with its competitors offering and consumer demands.

To meet the needs of Shoppers Drug Mart we developed a brand new iPhone and Android app, complete with an integrated Optimum mobile loyalty card, weekly native eflyers, personalized offers based on purchasing behaviours with load-to-card functionality to save & use - all while using the app in-store to scan, earn and redeem points. The app was created with the understanding that we needed to reinvent their mobile presence to not only delight customers, but ultimately drive traffic and sales in-store. At launch, the app saw hundreds of negative users reviews evolve to thousands of positive user reviews, taking the 1 star app to 5 stars within weeks.
